Zookeeper for a Day
Experience a day with elk, lynx, meerkats, and more!
Long before the opening of the Tierpark Sababurg, your "Day as a Zookeeper" begins. Enjoy the morning tranquility of the deserted park and accompany the keepers on their rounds to the animals. Together, you'll check the enclosures and make sure all the residents have weathered the night well. You'll also assist with the daily cleaning and quickly realize that even small animals make a mess. In the afternoon, you'll support the keepers during the daily feeding sessions or observe them in action. You'll get firsthand experience of the important and responsible task of caring for the animals and their enclosures.

Note: Participants must be at least 12 years old. The Day as a Zookeeper experience is available from Monday to Friday and starts at 7:30 am in the animal care area. You'll receive meal and drink vouchers for lunch, which can be redeemed at the snack bar. The day ends around 4:00 pm.
Falconer for a Day
Experience a day with our birds of prey.
This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with our birds of prey and experience what it's like to be a falconer. You will participate in the care, feeding, and training of various owl and raptor species.
Witness the unique flight styles and characteristics of the birds during the falconry show and training sessions. Don't forget your camera to capture this unforgettable experience. The falconry equipment will be provided free of charge.
For 1 person: €109

Info: The minimum age for participants is 12 years. The falconry experience is available from Tuesday to Sunday during the season from March to October, starting at 9:00 AM at the falconry area. You will receive meal and drink vouchers for the lunch break, which can be redeemed at the snack bar. The day ends at around 4:00 PM.
Tour with a Zookeper
Join and assist the zookeper during feeding time!
You'll spend an hour with the animal caretaker in the Children's Zoo or Farm and actively participate in the feeding process. Get up close and personal with penguins, meerkats, and other animals while learning fascinating information and unique characteristics about each species.
It's the highlight of every birthday party, no matter the age!
For a maximum of 12 people: 60 €
Please note: The guided tour with the zookeper is available from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and can be scheduled every 15 minutes between 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM. The tour may take place in either the Children's Zoo or Farm area. The maximum group size is 12 people.
